Vivo continues to add new members to the mid-range smartphone segment with Vivo Y22.
Vivo Y22s appeared in Vietnam last month and now Vivo has launched a more affordable version - Vivo Y22. The phone is available for pre-order in Indonesia with a starting price of 160 USD (equivalent to 3.77 million VND).

Along with the lower price, the phone is only equipped with the old chip and less memory, still retains the dual camera and large battery.
Vivo Y22 is equipped with a 6.55-inch LCD screen with 720p resolution and a "waterdrop" cutout at the top that houses an 8MP selfie camera. The phone has a 50MP main camera and a 2MP close-up camera. Other similarities with the Vivo Y22 include: a 5,000 mAh battery with 18W charging capacity.

The mid-range phone is only integrated with Helio G85 chip. This is a 2 year old chip that has powered many mid-range phones in 2020.
Vivo Y22 has standard memory of 4GB RAM / 64GB ROM, 6 RAM / 128GB ROM version is still unknown. Customers in Indonesia can now pre-order the device in Starlite Blue, Metaverse Green, or Summer Cyan Black. It is not yet clear whether the phone will land in the domestic market or not.
